Tracey Mangram - Director, Play World Child Care

Parents,

Hello, my name is Tracey Mangrum and I am the Director at Play World Child Care Center. I have been an early childhood educator for over twelve
years now having graduated with an Associates Degree in Child Development. The last eight years I have been honored to be the Director for Play World. It is my privilege each day to interact with the children, their parents and all of the fine employees in our school. My job is a very rewarding experience for me personally as I get to witness firsthand the development of the boys and girls who are enrolled in our school. It is fascinating to watch them grow up in our school, many of whom have been enrolled from birth to our school age group.

The early stages of life are the most important part of a child’s development process. I cannot overstress the importance of the brain connections made in the early stages of life. Our goal at Play World is to provide a loving, safe environment where each child will feel comfortable to try new things and further their development. We focus on the development of the whole child and understand that no two children are the same. All of our teachers encourage the children to develop to the next stage of their development as an individual, not only as a group. Each class is a stepping-stone toward the next and our goal is to have each child ready for Kindergarten when that time comes.

We focus on all areas including cognitive, emotional, social and physical development. It is important for parents to understand that you may not always see what we do (for example daily worksheets) because we are doing what is developmentally appropriate for each age group. We strive to help each child have the self-help skills that are age appropriate and work with each child through various techniques until the skill is mastered.

Our goal is to help your child grow to his/her full potential while in our care. We want the parent to have the comfort in knowing that your child is being well cared for while in our care. The early stages of life are so vital to the growth of your child so we take that responsibility seriously.

I encourage parents to visit Play World to see our spacious, fun-filled rooms and to see the smiling faces of our teachers and children. Our skilled childcare providers love their job! We look forward to seeing you soon.
